Artscape is a national performing arts institution in Cape Town, operating the theatre complex on the Foreshore that opened in 1971 as the Nico Malan Theatre Centre.

It runs an opera house, a theatre and a studio venue, presenting opera, ballet and contemporary dance, drama, music and community theatre. Its resident and associated companies include Cape Town Opera and Cape Town City Ballet.

The complex was built for whites-only audiences and was the subject of sustained protest and boycott before it was opened to all in 1975. Its current programming includes substantial audience development, youth and community outreach work across the Western Cape. It reports to the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
