The Breede-Olifants Catchment Management Agency manages water resources in the Breede and Olifants water management area in the Western Cape. It operates under the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998).

Catchment management agencies are the institutions through which the Act devolves water resource management to catchment level, so that decisions about allocation and protection are taken closer to the users and ecosystems affected.

Its functions include developing and implementing a catchment management strategy, water use authorisation, monitoring water quality and availability, and coordinating the water user associations and stakeholders in its area. Its catchment includes major irrigated agriculture, particularly deciduous fruit and wine.
