Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC)

The Government Technical Advisory Centre provides technical advisory services to organs of state. It is a government component within National Treasury, established in 2012.
It supports departments and public entities with public finance advice, feasibility studies and project preparation, infrastructure delivery management, public private partnership advice, spending reviews and programme evaluation. It also hosts the Jobs Fund, which provides challenge-fund grants to projects that create employment.
Its role is to supply specialist capacity that individual departments cannot economically maintain in-house, particularly for complex transactions and capital projects. It reports to National Treasury.
