Iziko Museums of South Africa manages a group of national museums in Cape Town. It was formed in 1999 by amalgamating several previously separate institutions, and its name comes from the isiXhosa word for hearth.

It runs around a dozen sites organised into art, social history and natural history collections. These include the South African National Gallery, the South African Museum and Planetarium, the Slave Lodge, the Bo-Kaap Museum, Groot Constantia, the Castle of Good Hope collections, the Rust en Vreugd house museum and the Maritime Centre.

Its collections span natural science specimens, archaeological and rock art material, historical artefacts and a significant national art collection. It reports to the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
