The William Humphreys Art Gallery is a national art museum in Kimberley in the Northern Cape. It opened in 1952, founded on a collection donated by William Benbow Humphreys.
Its original holdings were strong in European old masters, particularly Dutch, Flemish, English and French works. The collection has since been broadened substantially to include South African art, contemporary work, and material by artists previously excluded from national collections.
It is the principal public art institution in the Northern Cape and runs exhibitions, education programmes and outreach across a large and sparsely populated province. It reports to the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
