King Hintsa College is a public technical and vocational education and training college in the Eastern Cape, with its central office in Butterworth.
It operates campuses including Butterworth, Centane, Dutywa, Msobomvu, Teko and Willowvale, serving a predominantly rural part of the former Transkei. It is named after Hintsa kaKhawuta, the Xhosa king killed during the frontier wars of the 1830s.
Its programmes cover engineering studies, business studies, agriculture and information technology. It offers National Certificate Vocational and NATED (Report 191) qualifications together with occupational programmes, and reports to the Department of Higher Education and Training.
