Coastal KZN TVET College is the largest technical and vocational education and training college in KwaZulu-Natal, with roughly 15,000 full-time equivalent students and about 800 staff.

The college was formed by the merger of the former Durban Technical College, Swinton Road Technical College and Umlazi Technical College, later incorporating the former Umbumbulu and Appelsbosch colleges of education. It operates eight campuses: Durban, Umlazi V, Umlazi BB, Ubuhle Bogu, Umbumbulu, Swinton, Aa Salaam and Appelsbosch.

Programmes cover National Certificate Vocational and NATED (Report 191) qualifications across general studies, business studies and engineering, including chemical operations and a tooling centre of excellence.
